In an interview with The Sun, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams discussed the growing bond between the Beckhams and senior royals like King Charles and Prince William.
Fitzwilliams also commented on the Sussexes’ response to the Beckhams' Netflix docu-series surpassing their own in viewership.
"The Beckhams are perhaps everything that Harry and Meghan aspire to be,” he suggested, highlighting the Beckhams' status as "international superstars."
"The Beckhams and the Sussexes are not comparable - they are not on the same level," Fitzwilliams added.
The rift between the Beckhams and the Sussexes reportedly began when Prince Harry accused Victoria of leaking information to the press. Since then, David Beckham has strengthened his ties with the monarchy.
Fitzwilliams noted the Beckhams' strong support for the Royal Family and suggested they were displeased with Harry and Meghan’s commercialization of their royal connections.
"It appears that what was once a blossoming friendship has now turned into a rift," Fitzwilliams concluded.
