Inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Hidden Life Before Their US Move

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a lesser-known residence in the UK.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex secretly held a home in Oxfordshire, valued at £2.5 million, which they leased for two years just before their wedding in May 2018, according to Mirror.

While awaiting renovations on Frogmore Cottage, a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth, they resided in this Oxfordshire retreat. This property included a farmhouse, a cozy two-bedroom cottage for guests and staff, and a two-story converted barn.

The couple cherished their time there, enjoying peaceful dog walks and hosting friends, including celebrity guests like George and Amal Clooney, in complete privacy.

Their tranquil life, however, was disrupted when they clashed with the royal family following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage last year.

After stepping down from their royal duties and relocating to the US in 2020, they received an eviction notice from King Charles, much to Prince Harry’s dismay. In his memoir "Spare," he reflected on the loss of his UK home: "Once upon a time, this was going to be my forever home. Instead, it had proved to be just another brief stop."
