King Charles is making the most of his time as he battles cancer while performing his duties as monarch.
Despite his health challenges, the King is actively trying to fulfill his royal responsibilities and ensure his presence is felt, striving to make his reign memorable.
"Given he had the longest wait in history as heir to the throne, given his age, as well as his current health crisis, he is poignantly aware that time is ticking," royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.
The expert explained that Charles had been "preparing for this role his entire life, being in line for the throne for 70 years." She added that the King has "thrown himself into the job" as he wants to "make his mark," which is leaving him troubled.
"All that downtime away from his people makes him anxious and agitated," she told the outlet. "Every single one of the projects he has undertaken is designed to make a real mark."
Charles is "devoted" to having an impact, and the “downtime required by his doctors is not in the slightest welcome.”
While King Charles refuses to be a "lazy monarch," Prince William is already taking on a significant portion of the royal duties as he prepares to ascend the throne in the future.
