King Charles Faces Setback as Medical Team Issues Warning

King Charles and Queen Camilla's anticipated royal tour plans have encountered a setback due to the King's health condition.

Following his diagnosis with prostate cancer in February, King Charles has been undergoing weekly treatment. Although he resumed public duties in April, his medical team has cautioned against extensive travel, jeopardizing their planned visit to New Zealand, according to sources cited by The Mirror.

The monarch's health concerns mean that he may not be able to undertake prolonged trips abroad. "Naturally, it will be disappointing for both the King and Queen Camilla to miss the opportunity to visit New Zealand, but everyone understands the importance of the King's ongoing health and the need for him to take things slowly," the insider explained. "There is hope for future opportunities."

The last royal tour to the region occurred in 2018 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited for the Commonwealth Games. Plans for the upcoming tour may involve adjustments, potentially reducing the Australia leg to accommodate the King's recovery schedule.

While details of the official tour are yet to be confirmed by Buckingham Palace, sources suggest that if the visit proceeds, King Charles may spend six days in Australia and three days in Samoa, with a two-day interval.

The situation underscores the King's priority on health while navigating royal duties, reflecting a cautious approach in light of his medical treatment.
