Amid Kate Middleton’s recovery from cancer treatment, anticipation brews for a potential surprise appearance during a significant royal event.
The Palace remains tight-lipped on whether the Princess of Wales will grace the balcony with her presence, as several other royals are also expected to be missing.
The question looms: will Kate emerge to wave on the pivotal day of June 15? According to royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop, it's a tantalizing uncertainty. "My gut says she'll give us a wave," she expressed to The Mirror.
However, if Kate opts not to, Dr. Dunlop emphasizes it's entirely within her rights. Yet, this decision may trigger queries about the attendance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. "Even in 2022, the Sussexes were peripheral, glimpsed briefly at a window and uninvited to the balcony," Dunlop reflected.
"With the Princess of Wales potentially absent, the balcony lineup will be notably slimmer this year," Dunlop observed. "Perhaps it's time to reassess the role of non-working royals?"
She muses further, "The likes of cousins Eugenie, Beatrice, and Zara, known for their unwavering loyalty, might relish the opportunity to stand alongside their King. Isn't that what families are all about?"
