Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spared no effort in celebrating Princess Lilibet’s 3rd birthday today, and King Charles made sure to be a part of it.
According to reports, the monarch, despite his frail health, “sent a gift along with a message” to his youngest granddaughter, reaching her in Montecito just in time for her special day.
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn revealed that Charles had “no intention of completely ignoring” Lilibet’s birthday despite the ongoing public rift with the Sussexes.
He elaborated: "He gave Prince George a beautiful hand-made wooden swing with George's name carved on it and plans to give something similar to Lilibet, but not this year. Not unless and until the family feud settles."
Earlier today, People magazine reported that Meghan and Harry celebrated their little one’s birthday with a star-studded party at their home in Montecito, California.
Among the attendees were their neighbors, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, and others, according to Quinn.
Meanwhile, the former royal couple chose not to invite any members of the royal family. A royal expert quoted one of Harry’s army friends, saying: “Harry knew they wouldn’t come anyway and was pretty sure he would not have wanted them there.
“But he is really saddened that Archie and Lilibet cannot have any kind of relationship with their cousins while his feud with his family continues.”
