Meghan Markle has been advised to adopt 'creative and authentic' strategies to publicize her lifestyle brand, as she faces claims of ignoring key advice in an effort to outshine Kate Middleton, according to a publicist.
For those unaware, the timing of the Duchess of Sussex's announcements for her brand, American Riviera Orchard, and its products, has often coincided with significant royal events. Recently, Meghan introduced new products for her brand just before Princess Kate's return at the Trooping the Colour parade amid her cancer treatment. Additionally, Meghan announced her new business venture just before Prince William's speech honoring his late mother, Princess Diana.
These moves have led to severe backlash, with accusations that Meghan is attempting to steal the spotlight from the cancer-stricken Princess Kate.
Publicist Sara Fruman suggests that Meghan should focus on more creative and genuine strategies to build her brand. "There are plenty of strategies she can use to get publicity, and the most impactful would be to get creative and authentic - neither of which Meghan seems to be doing," Fruman said. She further added, "It appears that Meghan is either receiving poor advice or she's not listening to the advice she is given. The latter may be more likely."
