Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Face Popularity Decline After Kate Middleton's Return

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have experienced a significant dip in their popularity following Kate Middleton's recent public appearance at an event hosted by King Charles.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen their standings plummet in a new royal family power ranking. Despite their considerable influence as a couple, both Harry and Meghan's individual popularity has taken a substantial hit.

Since stepping back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 and relocating to California, the couple's influence has been under constant scrutiny. A recent analysis of royal family rankings indicates that Meghan and Harry's popularity is on a downward trend.

In contrast, Kate Middleton and Prince William's appeal appears to be on the rise. The Daily Beast's Royal Power List suggests that the Prince and Princess of Wales continue to gain favor, unlike the Sussexes.

According to the publication, Prince Harry's popularity currently stands at 34 percent, while Meghan's is at 26 percent. In comparison, Prince William enjoys a 67 percent popularity score and a high 'fame' rating of 97 percent. Catherine, undergoing chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis, surpasses William with a 71 percent popularity rating, though her 'fame' score is slightly lower at 95 percent.

Despite their declining popularity, the Sussexes are described as "more outrageous" and "interesting" than their royal counterparts. Prince Harry holds a 'fame' score of 100 percent, with Meghan close behind at 94 percent.

The couple's decision to step back as senior working royals was announced in January 2020, followed by their move to the US.
