Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Excluded from Trooping the Colour, Highlighting Rift with King Charles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been notably excluded from the guest list for the upcoming Trooping the Colour event, a clear indication of their ongoing estrangement from the royal family.

Despite a low attendance of senior working royals, King Charles reportedly did not consider inviting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to publicist Michael Levine. This exclusion underscores the persistent rift between the couple and the core of the British monarchy.

Adding to the family tensions, Kate Middleton, who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy for cancer, will also not attend the ceremony and will miss the traditional balcony appearance.

Levine told The Mirror that the exclusion of Meghan and Harry from this major royal event is a poignant reflection of their continued separation from the royal family.

In a further sign of strained ties, King Charles declined a meeting with his younger son in May, citing a busy schedule, despite their close proximity. Additionally, a title intended for Prince Harry was granted to Prince William, signaling a clear message from the King.

“Their absence for the second year running underscores the deep rifts that persist despite the pageantry and tradition that define the Royal Family,” Levine explained. “It’s a stark reminder that personal conflicts can ripple through the public spectacle even in the most revered institutions.”
