The Duke of Sussex is reportedly "deeply upset" about missing an event he would have enjoyed, were it not for his wife, Meghan Markle, according to royal author Tom Quinn. Quinn also noted that Harry is lamenting missing the wedding of the Duke of Westminster, heralded as the year's most significant non-royal wedding.
Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, who recently married Olivia, holds significant ties as godfather to Prince Archie and Prince George, the first-born of Prince William.
"As time goes by, the Duke misses some aspects of his old life in the UK," Quinn told The Mirror.
Harry's friends from his days at Eton and in the army have reportedly distanced themselves because they "don't get on with Meghan," Quinn added.
In light of these strained relationships, Prince Harry is determined to secure a UK residence amidst ongoing security challenges. This move aims to facilitate his reconnection with elements of his past life.
Following their eviction from Frogmore Cottage in February 2023, Harry and Meghan vacated their former Windsor home later that summer.
