Princess Anne Hospitalized After Horse-Related Injury, Buckingham Palace Reports

Princess Anne has been admitted to a Bristol hospital following a concussion caused by an incident involving a horse. The accident occurred at Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday evening, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal is currently under medical observation after emergency services provided initial treatment at the estate and then transported her to Southmead Hospital. Royal sources have yet to confirm the exact cause of her injuries but indicated that they are consistent with an impact from a horse.

Buckingham Palace released a statement, noting, "The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and a concussion following an incident yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in the hospital as a precautionary measure and is expected to make a full and swift recovery."

Her brother, the King, has been informed of the situation and expressed his love and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Despite her robust schedule, the 73-year-old princess will miss upcoming engagements, including a state banquet for the Japanese State Visit and a planned visit to Canada, following her doctors' advice.
