Princess Eugenie Proudly Displays Scar in New Post, Encourages Others to Share Their Stories

Princess Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew, proudly revealed the scar she has lived with for years in a heartfelt social media post on Wednesday. The 34-year-old princess, married to Jack Brooksbank since 2018, shared an iconic photo on her Instagram to mark Scoliosis Awareness Day.

In the picture, Princess Eugenie is seen in her white wedding dress with a low back, designed to display the scar from an operation she underwent at the age of 12. Alongside the photo, she sent a powerful message: "Let’s be proud of our scars!"

"Today is International Scoliosis Awareness Day. I just wanted to share my scar and encourage anyone out there who’s gone through something similar to share theirs with me," she wrote.

To further support and encourage those affected by scoliosis, she added, "Let’s be proud of our scars! I’d love to repost any of your images on my stories, so please tag me and I will share."

Princess Eugenie continued, "To all of you who have just received the diagnosis, to those wearing braces, to those recovering from an operation, and for those who have lived with a scar for years - my thoughts are with you on Scoliosis Awareness Day. Thank you to the doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and researchers at @scoliosis_sr."

Her post comes amid the royal family's ongoing health challenges, with King Charles and Princess Kate having undergone major surgeries before being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Princess Eugenie's own major surgery in 2002 treated a curvature of the spine, and she now uses her platform to raise awareness and support others facing similar struggles.
