Royal Family Faces Major Impact as Princess Anne Steps Back from Duties Due to Injury

Princess Anne has cancelled a series of royal engagements after sustaining a head injury, creating another challenge for the Royal Family.

The 73-year-old sister of King Charles was hospitalized with minor injuries and a concussion after being struck on the head by a horse.

Writing for the Daily Mail, royal author Arthur Parashar noted the "major impact" on the royal image, given Anne's reputation as the "hardest working member" of the Royal Family.

The incident has led to the cancellation of numerous engagements, including a planned royal visit to Canada later this week. Buckingham Palace is coordinating with the Canadian government to adapt her proposed engagements in her absence.

In addition to the overseas visit, Anne was scheduled for nine engagements across the UK, all of which have been postponed indefinitely.

A statement from Buckingham Palace mentioned that the King has been kept closely informed and joins the entire Royal Family in sending love and well-wishes to the princess for a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, King Charles is preparing to welcome the Emperor and Empress of Japan for a state visit, with a Ceremonial Welcome at Horse Guards Parade later today.
