Sarah Ferguson Defends Prince Andrew Amid Royal Lodge Feud with King Charles

Sarah Ferguson is standing firm in her support for Prince Andrew, vowing not to let him lose his battle for Royal Lodge. The Duchess of York, who shares a close bond with her daughters and ex-husband, continues to spend time with Andrew in their 30-room luxury mansion.

Despite reports suggesting she might encourage Andrew to move out of Royal Lodge, Sarah remains steadfast in her loyalty. Sources claim she is determined to defend and support Andrew, who is under intense stress but resolute in maintaining the £30 million property "at any cost."

King Charles reportedly wants his younger brother to downsize to Frogmore Cottage, previously occupied by Harry and Meghan. Speaking to the Daily Beast, a source close to Sarah said, "She has never sought to rock the boat. She is very grateful for being brought back into the family by the late Queen and appreciates that this has continued under Charles. But selling out her family is a different matter—she is fiercely loyal to Andrew."

The source added, "Andrew doesn't have much left in his life; the house is one of the few things keeping him going. The idea that he would give it up, along with his children’s inheritance, is absurd. The place is well maintained, and the notion that Andrew is in dire financial straits is inaccurate. He has the support of many friends and business interests."

This defense comes after a report in The Times suggested that King Charles might reconsider the support he provides to Andrew unless he moves out. A source noted, "The King’s kindness is not without limit, and there is a good option for Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage, which also offers the benefit of being within the Windsor Castle security cordon, reducing the need for additional security for Royal Lodge."
