Sarah Ferguson Excludes Prince Andrew from Family Tribute on Instagram

The Duchess of York has 698,000 Instagram followers

Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, recently posted a special family tribute on Instagram, noticeably excluding her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. The tribute, which marked Father’s Day, featured two new photographs: one of her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as young children with their late maternal grandfather, Major Ronald Ferguson, and a solo shot of Major Ferguson when he was younger.

With the caption "Happy Father’s Day Dearest Dads," the post celebrated fatherhood but omitted any mention or image of Prince Andrew, despite him being the father of her two daughters.

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew were married for 10 years before divorcing in 1996. Despite their divorce, they have maintained a close friendship, and Sarah has been living at Royal Lodge, Prince Andrew's home, since 2003. In a 2013 promotional event for a children’s book, Sarah affectionately referred to Andrew as her "handsome prince," highlighting their enduring familial bond.

Prince Andrew also commented on their unique living arrangement in a 2000 interview with Tatler, stating that their cohabitation was for mutual benefit, not just for the sake of their children. He neither ruled out nor confirmed the possibility of remarriage, leaving the question open-ended.

Last year, Sarah joined the Royal Family for the traditional Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church, her first time since 1991. She expressed her gratitude for being included in the festivities in a Boxing Day Instagram post.
