Queen Camilla recently marked her 77th birthday, an occasion that was clouded by concerns for her husband, King Charles, due to his ongoing health issues.
The Queen Consort, who accompanied the monarch to his second State Opening of Parliament, has been intensely focused on the King's wellbeing, according to royal author Christopher Andersen.
“Camilla has been steadfastly supportive as the King faces his cancer battle,” Andersen stated in an interview with Fox News Digital.
He further shared that the Queen Consort is weary from the King's persistent private grievances and is worried about his tendency to disregard medical advice.
“Camilla is anxious about Charles not adhering strictly to his doctors’ recommendations,” Andersen explained. “She fears that his stubborn nature could hinder his recovery.”
Andersen added, “Camilla welcomes any slight break from her responsibilities, but despite her characteristic broad smile, the signs of stress are apparent.”
Meanwhile, King Charles, who was diagnosed with cancer following a procedure for his enlarged prostate in February, presents a healthier facade, looking robust. Andersen remarked, “It’s difficult to accurately assess his medical condition just by appearances.”
