Princess Kate garnered praise for making a touching statement with her stunning outfit at Wimbledon, according to experts.
Catherine made headlines with her appearance at the 2024 Wimbledon men's singles final, accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte. This marked Kate's second official royal engagement since her cancer diagnosis in March, her previous appearance being at Trooping the Colour.
For her 'favourite' sports event, the Princess of Wales donned a custom version of Safiyaa Cecilia's purple midi dress. Europe's largest diamond jeweller, Tobias Kormind, told GB News that Kate's choice of dress color paid tribute to Wimbledon, highlighting its significance.
Kormind explained, "Kate’s stunning and distinctive new Wimbledon statement look comprised a purple dress (paying tribute to the Wimbledon colours), which was a first for the princess."
He added, "She paired this rich and regal hue with large, statement yellow gold earrings, the perfect combination, contrasting with the more dainty jewels she has sometimes worn at Wimbledon in the past."
Moreover, Kormind noted that Kate's fashion choices, including her green and gold look in 2023 and her purple and gold look in 2024, pay tribute to her role as the president of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
