Amid widespread speculation regarding a business rivalry with Meghan Markle, King Charles has made his position clear.
Rumors began to circulate suggesting a competitive tension between the 75-year-old monarch and his daughter-in-law due to overlapping products from Charles’ Highgrove estate and Meghan’s new American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has refuted these claims of a feud, emphasizing the established nature of the Highgrove brand in comparison to Meghan's recent entry into the market.
"Any talk of petty rivalry between the offerings from Highgrove and Meghan’s new products is baseless," Bond told OK! magazine. "Highgrove has a long history of developing new products, albeit with more polished marketing strategies over the years.
"The idea that Charles or his team would engage in underhanded tactics to overshadow Meghan's efforts doesn’t hold water," she continued. "It is highly unlikely that Charles would escalate tensions unnecessarily."
These clarifications follow reports that Meghan plans to involve Prince Harry and possibly Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice in promoting her brand.
