King Charles' Misstep Deepens Crisis with Prince Andrew

King Charles' apparent lapse in judgment concerning his controversial brother, Prince Andrew, has escalated the already fraught situation.

The disgraced Duke of York is currently in conflict with his elder brother, refusing to vacate the 30-bedroom Royal Lodge. Royal biographer Tom Bower has cautioned that the situation is becoming "dire" and increasingly disastrous.

Bower emphasized that Andrew "should be invisible" in public due to his involvement in a sexual assault scandal and his ties with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

"I blame the King for not being more authoritative in ordering Prince Andrew to stay out of public view," Bower told The Sun. "That memorial service front row was a catastrophic mistake—he pushed himself to the front."

Following King Charles' cancer diagnosis, the monarch was absent from the Thanksgiving service held in honor of Greece’s late King Constantine at St George's Chapel.

While Queen Camilla led the ceremony, Andrew was seen smiling and leading the arriving mourners. He was accompanied by his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.

In a previous report by The Sun, Palace sources indicated that King Charles might "reconsider the levels of support he is willing to provide" if Andrew continues to defy the monarch's orders to leave the Lodge and move to Frogmore Cottage.
