King Charles ensured Queen Camilla felt cherished on her 77th birthday, which she celebrated on Wednesday.
Despite spending her special day accompanying Charles at the second State Opening of Parliament during his reign and delivering a speech for the new Labour government, the monarch's gift undoubtedly brightened her day, according to Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold.
"The amusing part is deciding what to gift someone in the royal family, especially a Queen," Harrold told The Sun. "I imagine Charles would give her something practical she desires, perhaps a piece of jewelry or something for her dogs."
He added, "In the days following her birthday, we might notice Camilla donning a new piece of jewelry, possibly a birthday gift."
Harrold, who served as the royal butler from 2004 to 2011, also mentioned that it wouldn't be surprising if Camilla received an item from the late Queen’s jewelry collection.
“That happens occasionally,” he explained.
Additionally, former royal butler Paul Burrell noted that King Charles would likely spoil Camilla on her birthday, celebrating it privately with a party at Clarence House.
