Meghan Markle struggled to cope with her perceived low status within the royal family, reportedly experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions over this grim realization.
Royal author Tom Bower revealed shocking insights about the Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with David and Victoria Beckham in his new book, "The House of Beckhams."
According to the Daily Express, Meghan was “irritated” upon learning that the A-listers were wealthier than her despite her marriage to Prince Harry.
Furthermore, the former "Suits" star resented Kate Middleton for her higher status as the wife of future King William, which placed Meghan lower in the royal hierarchy.
"In Meghan’s celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame. As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal Family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order,” Bower claimed.
"She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself,” he explained.
"They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts, and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess,” the author added.
Initially, Meghan and Victoria struck up a close friendship; however, it was reportedly marred by Prince Harry’s accusations against the fashion designer for allegedly leaking stories about the Sussexes to the press.
