Prince Harry left Meghan Markle nervous with a surprising gesture during a reunion with Prince William and Princess Kate at a difficult time for the royal family.
The 'Fab Four' reunited during a walkabout in Windsor following Queen Elizabeth's passing in September 2022. An expert analyzed footage of the royal couples' reunion.
On his YouTube channel Royal Rogue, body language expert Jesús Enrique Rosas discussed how Harry appeared to "push his wife away from William and Catherine" in a "spectacular display of body language."
As they prepared to leave in a car, Harry showed Meghan to her seat. However, there seemed to be a mix-up, as he initially guided her to the passenger seat occupied by Princess Kate. At this point, Harry stepped behind Meghan and placed his hands on her waist, gently encouraging her to move past William.
Some interpreted Harry's actions as protective of Meghan during the tense moments as they met grieving crowds, marking their first close encounter since the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview.
The expert also commented on Kate's appearance, noting: "Despite how uncomfortable Catherine might have been, she managed to shine. She displayed how one should behave in a situation where you need to share the stage with others.
"Meghan appeared nervous, glancing at Catherine, and at one point, Meghan's left hand covered her chest briefly. Catherine walked tall, with relaxed hands and her chin held high."
Rosas further explained Kate's confidence during the much-hyped reunion: "I've seen Catherine walk many times, and she usually doesn't hold her chin that high. In some scenarios, it could be read as arrogance, but in this case, it was more like… she was showing who was in charge.
"Despite what was being requested of William and Catherine at that moment, they behaved in the most diplomatic and polite way, showcasing emotional intelligence."
