In the wake of this year's shocking cancer diagnoses within the Royal Family, Meghan Markle is rumored to be quietly strategizing her next steps. The Duchess of Sussex, who has been notably reserved recently, is reportedly working on her own autobiography, which could contain significant revelations about the Royal Family.
Royal biographer Tom Bower, known for his critical stance on the Sussexes, shared his insights with Sun Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson during the Royal Exclusive Show. Bower, often blunt in his assessments, described the current state of the Sussexes as bleak. “They appear to be in a sustained decline. However, they seem to use revelations for financial gain and public attention,” he said.
Bower further speculated that Meghan's forthcoming book could be controversial. “We’re still waiting for Meghan’s own autobiography, which I suspect will be quite provocative. She’s an accomplished writer, but I fear the book will be more about sensationalism than truth,” he added.
The biographer did not hold back, labeling Meghan as an “agent of poison” and criticizing her for allegedly disregarding her father, Thomas Markle, amidst the ongoing family drama. Despite the quiet period following the release of their documentary and Harry’s book, Bower suggested that Meghan might be preparing for a more significant revelation.
“Meghan has let Harry lead their public disclosures so far, keeping her own cards close to her chest, likely to make a bigger impact with her own narrative later,” he noted.
This period of relative silence from Meghan comes after a tumultuous year for the Royal Family, marked by health concerns. King Charles openly discussed his cancer diagnosis after undergoing surgery at the London Clinic earlier this year, though the Palace clarified it was not prostate cancer. He has since resumed his duties energetically, including delivering the King’s Speech and appearing at his official birthday parade, Trooping the Colour.
On the other hand, Princess Kate has been less visible, following major abdominal surgery and subsequent preventative chemotherapy treatments begun in March. Her courage in facing her health challenges has been quietly acknowledged by royal watchers and the public alike.
