Meghan Markle to Attend 2027 Invictus Games Despite Security Issues

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Have 'Legitimate' Security Concerns in the UK

Prince Harry, who plans to return to the UK for the 2027 Invictus Games, will be joined by his wife, Meghan Markle. Despite ongoing security concerns, the Duke of Sussex has traveled solo to his home country since September 2022, citing safety risks for his family.

Royal author Christopher Andersen told Fox News Digital that Meghan is highly unlikely to miss the Invictus Games. "There’s zero chance of Meghan missing the Invictus Games," Andersen asserted. "I expect she will be there briefly, but without their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

Andersen emphasized that while Meghan’s attendance might be brief due to real security concerns, the rest of the royal family and the British courts do not view these issues in the same light. The UK considers the Sussexes as non-working royals, thus not entitled to state-funded police protection.

Prince Harry has been engaged in a legal battle with the UK Home Office over security provisions, having already lost one appeal and facing slim chances with his remaining legal recourse.

Meghan last visited the UK for Queen Elizabeth's funeral in September 2022, while Prince Harry attended King Charles' coronation solo in May 2023.
