Meghan Markle has been encouraged to mend her estranged relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, following his heartfelt plea for reconciliation as he nears his 80th birthday.
Television personality Kerry Katona, drawing from her own family experiences, advised Meghan to seek peace with her father, emphasizing the brevity of life. In her column for OK! Magazine, Katona wrote, "I saw that Meghan Markle’s dad Thomas made a plea to see his grandchildren ahead of his 80th birthday. It’s a difficult situation because kids are involved, but I’ve been in a similar position."
Katona recounted how her mother and stepfather separated before her wedding to Brian McFadden. She shared that while writing her biography, she wanted to include her stepfather, who had played a significant role in her life.
"I hadn’t seen him in years," Katona said. "But I went and knocked on his door to have a conversation and tell him what I was going to include in the book."
Expressing gratitude for making the first move to reconnect, Katona added, "Every family is different, but for me, it means I don’t live with regret. Life really is too short."
