Meghan Markle has received a stern warning ahead of the release of her highly anticipated Netflix cooking show. The Duchess of Sussex's new project aims to "celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertainment, and friendship."
However, PR expert Andrew Bloch has indicated that Meghan might encounter significant challenges in making her "too important to fail" show a massive success. Speaking to Fabulous magazine, Bloch noted that Prince Harry's previous controversial book "Spare" and his new bombshell interview could create additional hurdles for Meghan.
"All eyes will be on Meghan’s new show delivering big numbers for Netflix," Bloch remarked. He emphasized that the streaming giant, which signed a $100 million (£77.7 million) deal with Harry and Meghan in 2020, is eager for a substantial return on their investment.
Bloch added, "Netflix will promote the show heavily but will be acutely aware of the fierce competition in the cooking and home space." He pointed out that this, combined with the pressure stemming from Harry’s "Spare" backlash, could intensify the challenges for Meghan's new venture.
