Prince George to Follow Separate Travel Protocols from Prince William Starting Next Year

Today Marks Prince George's 11th Birthday

As Prince George celebrates his 11th birthday, a significant change looms in the near future. According to royal travel protocols, he will soon be restricted from flying on the same plane as his father, Prince William, starting from the age of 12. This rule is designed to protect the line of succession.

Angela Levin, in an interview with GB News, described the situation as "really sad," emphasizing the close relationship between Prince George and Prince William. "When he gets to 12, he can’t fly in the same plane as his father," Levin stated. "You can’t have two heirs to the throne in the same plane, and I think that is very sad. He has got to enjoy it very much, while he still can."

To celebrate his birthday, Prince George is enjoying two parties: one in London with family and friends and another later with his school friends, according to Levin.

Levin also noted the young royal's evolution over the years. Initially very shy, Prince George has started coming out of his shell, particularly enjoying sports. His sister, Princess Charlotte, has been more outgoing, but George is gaining confidence and comfort in his own skin.

Kensington Palace marked the occasion by sharing a new photograph of Prince George, taken by his mother, Princess Kate. The Palace's social media post read: "Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today." Princess Kate often captures and shares family photos to commemorate birthdays and special events.

Prince George also received birthday wishes from his grandfather, King Charles, as part of the celebration.
