Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are on high alert after security threats emerged in the wake of an incident involving Kate Middleton, who was targeted by the shooter of former US President Donald Trump.
It was revealed that Thomas Matthew, the shooter, had searched for the Princess of Wales’ whereabouts on his phone and downloaded photos of her. Catherine, who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis, was an unintended part of his disturbing actions.
Royal commentator Jennie Bond, speaking to OK! Magazine, highlighted that Prince Harry, due to his military background, is an even "more obvious target." She stated, "Security threats are a fact of life for the Royal family, and Prince Harry is an even more obvious target because of his military record."
Bond emphasized that Harry's "concerns about security for himself and his family are legitimate," noting the significant financial burden of their private protection in the United States. She also remarked on Harry’s choice to leave royal duties and the UK, pointing out that this decision necessitates earning substantial income to cover their security expenses.
