Prince Harry Hurt by King Charles' Decision
King Charles III has left Prince Harry deeply hurt by his recent decision to bestow a significant honor on Prince William, further intensifying the existing family feud. The Duke of Sussex was reportedly "deeply wounded" by his father’s choice to grant the future King a prestigious military title, according to royal expert Emily Andrews.
In an interview with Woman magazine, Andrews revealed that Prince Harry has repeatedly expressed his sadness over losing his honorary military appointments after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties. The blow was particularly harsh when King Charles appointed Prince William as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, a role previously associated with Harry's military service.
"Old pals say it will have wounded him deeply to see his elder brother, Prince William, handed the role of Colonel-in-Chief of his former organization, the Army Air Corps, by Charles," Andrews explained. This decision is likely to exacerbate the already strained relationship between the two brothers, leading to more bad feelings and potential conflicts.
Andrews continued: "Some could argue it really is the ultimate revenge given the brickbats Harry has thrown, but I'm not so sure. For me, it just deepens the already gaping wound between the two siblings who used to be so close."
Unlike Prince William, who did not serve in active military service, Prince Harry served in Afghanistan with the Army Air Corps, which may have made the loss of the honorary position even more painful for him.
