Prince Harry’s Remarks on Queen Elizabeth II’s Support Stir Controversy

In a recent ITV documentary titled "Tabloids on Trial," Prince Harry has sparked controversy by suggesting that his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, supported his ongoing battle with the media. During the interview, which aired on July 25, Harry discussed his strained relationship with the British tabloids and its impact on his ability to return to the UK with his wife, Meghan.

Responding to interviewer Rebecca Barry, Harry shared details of his conversations with the Queen before her death in September 2022. He expressed a strong belief that the Queen backed his efforts, stating, "This is very much something that she supported. She knew how much this meant to me, and she’s very much up there saying, 'See this through to the end,' without question."

However, these claims have not been well-received within the Royal Family or by royal experts, who criticize Harry for involving the late monarch in his personal disputes. A royal expert condemned the comments as hurtful and misleading, citing a "blind rage" among family members over what they deem to be fabrications regarding the late Queen's positions. Royal sources have also expressed skepticism about the accuracy and validity of Harry’s statements.
