Prince William Acknowledges Void Left by Brother Prince Harry

The ongoing rift between Prince William and Prince Harry has caused significant distress within the royal family.

Prince William has had to shoulder major royal responsibilities amidst a family health crisis, facing a harsh reality without the support of his brother. In February, King Charles was diagnosed with cancer, and a month later, Kate Middleton began preventative cancer treatment, adding to the burden on William.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton revealed that William, who once relied on his close family, including his now-estranged brother, felt isolated during this challenging period. Morton told OK! Magazine, "In the old days, it would have been Harry, so it’s difficult to know who. Certainly, he needs all the support he can get – as would any father who’s trying to bring up three boisterous kids with a wife who’s ill."

The Prince of Wales took a step back from public engagements to support his wife and care for their three children during Kate's health battle.

Apart from his bond with Harry, William was close to his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and his late mother, Princess Diana. During King Charles's Coronation last year, William honoured the late Queen in a heartfelt speech, saying, "I know she’s up there, fondly keeping an eye on us."

The brothers are reportedly not on speaking terms, with Prince William feeling betrayed by Harry’s negative portrayal of the royal family in his memoir and Netflix docuseries, leading to William's reluctance to engage with him.
