William and Kate's Unconventional Parenting Approach to Protect Their Kids
Prince William and Kate Middleton are taking significant steps to protect their young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Unlike traditional royal customs, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have embraced a hands-on parenting style.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond praised the couple for their thoughtful decision regarding their children's upbringing. Speaking to OK! Magazine, Bond noted, “They are hands-on parents in a way neither Charles and Diana, nor the late Queen and Prince Philip ever were. From the start, they have cared for their children themselves as much as possible with minimal outside help.”
Bond further explained that William and Kate's "unusual and enlightened decision" stems from their desire to create a more family-oriented environment. “You can’t undo the destiny you were born into, but you can make life more of a family affair than an upbringing in palaces and castles would allow,” she said.
The influence of Kate’s family has also played a crucial role in this approach. Bond emphasized the “normalizing influence of having a happy, ordinary couple as grandparents.” Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, come from ordinary backgrounds and provide a grounding presence for the children, contributing to a well-rounded upbringing.
Prince George, who is second in line to the throne, along with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are being raised with the expectation of assuming senior working royal roles in the future. Through their hands-on parenting and the support of Kate's family, Prince William and Kate Middleton aim to prepare their children for their royal duties while ensuring a balanced and supportive childhood.
