Prince William and King Charles are at odds regarding peace talks with Prince Harry.
Royal author Robert Jobson, in his book The Princess of Wales: The Biography, claims that the King is keen on mending bridges with his estranged son, similar to how he reconciled with his brother, Prince Andrew.
Last Christmas, the King invited his brother to join the family celebrations, a move seen as a message to Prince William to repair his relationship with the Duke of Sussex.
Jobson writes in the Mail Online, "Perhaps the King is subliminally trying to show William that forgiving one's brother and giving him a second chance is a strength, not a weakness."
However, Jobson believes that Prince William disagrees with his father, stating, "As for his own brother, as far as he is concerned there is no way back."
Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020 with his wife, Meghan Markle, and has since been in disfavour with senior royal figures due to his revealing interviews and his explosive memoir, Spare.
