Prince William Celebrates Special Scottish Title, Fond Memories with Kate Middleton

Prince William, who famously met and fell in love with his university sweetheart Kate Middleton in Scotland, continues to cherish their connection to the country with a special title bestowed upon them.

Upon their marriage in 2011, Queen Elizabeth II granted William and Kate the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, a gift that symbolized their union. In Scotland, where their romance blossomed, they are known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn, titles they have embraced during their visits to the country over the years, much to the delight of Scottish royal enthusiasts.

The couple's journey has also seen them bestowed with the title of Prince and Princess of Wales following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, a traditional title held by the heir to the throne.

Currently, King Charles and Queen Camilla are in Scotland for Holyrood Week, engaging in a series of events centered around their residence at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. This year's Holyrood Week has been shortened due to the General Election, prompting adjustments to the royal schedule to avoid drawing attention away from the campaign.

Amidst their royal duties, Prince William and Kate Middleton have also reached a milestone with 16.6 million followers on their Instagram account at Kensington Palace. Princess Kate, however, is currently undergoing chemotherapy, leading to a temporary reduction in her public engagements.
