Prince William May Avoid Balmoral Visit Amid Family Tensions

Prince William is reportedly considering skipping a family gathering at Balmoral Castle, a move that could indicate a rift with Prince Andrew. As the future king, William, alongside his wife, Kate Middleton, might forgo the traditional summer visit to avoid overlapping with the Duke of York.

Despite their fondness for Balmoral, the cherished retreat of the late Queen Elizabeth II, the Prince and Princess of Wales might opt out of this year's visit. "William and Catherine are likely to organize a trip to celebrate the Glorious Twelfth with friends, but it's unclear if they will join the family events where Prince Andrew is present," a close source shared.

King Charles has traditionally welcomed Andrew to partake in royal shooting events, a gesture he seems inclined to continue. However, William and Kate appear to prefer the company of other family members like Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princess Anne.

Concerns about family dynamics have heightened since Princess Anne is currently recovering from an injury, though she plans to attend if her health permits.

Located in the scenic Scottish Highlands, Balmoral was a favorite haven of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away there in September 2022. The castle continues to be a significant place for the royal family, serving as a backdrop to both private moments and public discussions about its future.
