Princess Anne’s Health Takes Serious Turn After Hospitalization

Princess Anne, 73, has experienced a significant health decline following a horse-related incident that led to a five-night stay at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. Royal commentator Angela Levin revealed that the Princess Royal cannot remember the event, marking the situation as “quite serious.”

Levin, speaking on GBN America, highlighted the concern within the Royal Family. "It’s worrying because she can’t remember anything about what happened. For a woman of her age, over 70, you have to be very careful," Levin said. Princess Anne will now undergo a period of convalescence.

During her hospital stay, Anne was visited by her husband, Sir Tim, and her daughter, Zara Tindall, both showing visible anxiety about her condition. Levin emphasized Princess Anne’s reputation as the hardest worker in the Royal Family, expressing hope for her recovery.

The incident occurred at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire. Anne’s head injuries, consistent with an impact from a horse, led to a concussion, leaving details of the accident unclear. Although an air ambulance was dispatched, she was ultimately transported by road after on-site treatment.

Sir Tim, who visited her during the week, reported she was "doing fine, slow but sure" and brought her some treats from home. The Princess Royal returned to her country home near Minchinhampton on Friday morning to continue her recovery in private.
