Insiders have revealed that the 75-year-old monarch, who was diagnosed with a type of cancer earlier this year, continues to push through a rigorous schedule of royal duties. This includes a planned tour to Australia in October, raising concerns about his health.
King Charles recently began his summer break at Balmoral Castle in Scotland but interrupted it to address urgent matters. On Monday, he participated in a traditional welcoming ceremony, but by the next day, he had travelled to Southport to address the tragic murder of three children at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class, as reported by GB News. The following day, he flew to London to meet privately with the grieving families of the victims at Clarence House before returning to Balmoral by helicopter on Thursday after reportedly receiving cancer treatment in London.
A close friend of Queen Camilla shared that she is "deeply unhappy" with the King’s packed schedule, expressing concerns that he is overworking himself and should focus on his recovery. The friend told The Daily Beast, "Camilla would have been deeply unhappy that having only begun his holiday on Monday, he broke it off on Tuesday to do an incredibly intense engagement. She wants him to slow down; she is afraid he is working too hard, and that’s before you even get to the Australia tour."
Camilla has publicly voiced her concerns, urging well-wishers that she wants Charles to "behave" and "slow down." Another friend added, "She has been trying to encourage him to slow down. Of course, he wants to keep cracking on, but she is afraid that doing too much could set him back."
