Lady Louise Enjoys Private Upbringing Unlike Royal Cousins
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, has deliberately kept her daughter, Lady Louise, out of the spotlight to provide her with a different childhood than her cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry. According to a PR expert, this approach allows Lady Louise more privacy since she is not a direct heir to the throne.
Lady Louise, 20, was raised without a princess title and spent much of her childhood away from public attention, contrasting with her cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who had HRH titles despite not becoming working royals. Karolina Króliczek, CEO of a digital communications agency in London, told GB News, "Lady Louise's parents have made efforts to keep her out of the spotlight, allowing her to have a more normal upbringing."
Sophie, 59, has previously explained her decision not to use princely titles for Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex: "We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living. Hence we made the decision not to use HRH titles. They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but I think it’s highly unlikely."
In contrast, Prince William, 42, and Prince Harry, 39, were raised with the expectation of undertaking royal duties. William is currently first in line to the throne, while Harry is fifth.
Lady Louise is currently studying at the University of St Andrews, the same institution attended by Prince William and Princess Kate between 2001 and 2005.
