Sussexes Struggle with Staff Retention and Image Amidst Royal Rift
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are facing a fresh wave of challenges following allegations from a former aide, who described them as "condescending" and difficult to work with. This latest issue arises as they search for a CEO for Meghan's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, amid a series of staff departures.
A former employee of Archewell revealed in an interview with NewsNation that the Duchess has been "unbearable" and tends to "talk down to people." The Duke has also experienced staff turnover, with his Chief of Staff, Josh Kettler, resigning after just three months—marking the 18th staff member to leave the Sussexes' team.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield weighed in on the situation, stating that the Sussexes may continue to struggle in retaining staff due to the demanding environment. Schofield remarked, "It will take someone really tough to see through the challenges and believe there's a reward at the end."
Schofield also addressed rumours that Netflix might step in to manage Meghan's lifestyle brand if she fails to secure a CEO. She suggested that Meghan could potentially regain her status as an influencer, which she held prior to her marriage to The Duke of Sussex. However, Schofield pointed out that their diminishing popularity could hinder this effort, noting that many royal supporters no longer wish to see them succeed due to their perceived negative actions toward the Royal Family.
