Kate Middleton has reportedly given in to Prince William’s firm decision regarding a major issue, leaving the Princess of Wales heartbroken, especially following her recent cancer diagnosis.
The royal couple, known for their dedication to modernising the monarchy and carefully managing the upbringing of their three children, appear to be at odds over the choice of school for their eldest son, Prince George. According to sources, Kate is not in favour of William’s decision to send George to a boarding school, despite it being a royal tradition.
A source told OK! Magazine that Kate and William have spent hours "arguing" over the matter, with Kate long opposing the idea of sending George away. Currently, the 11-year-old attends Lambrook, alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, revealed that Kate's reluctance may also be influenced by her health condition and the proximity of Eton to their home. “They [William and Kate] will have their choice of schools, and they don’t have to decide as early as others,” Seward explained, noting that Eton, due to its location, seems a likely option.
Seward also highlighted the heightened scrutiny the royals are under regarding their expenses, particularly the cost of security for the royal children, which adds another layer of complexity to this important decision.
