Princess Kate Middleton is reportedly taking steps to heal her strained relationship with Meghan Markle by sending a birthday message, as revealed by a royal expert. The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her 43rd birthday on Sunday, August 4, and Ingrid Seward suggests that this gesture could represent an olive branch to her estranged sister-in-law.
According to The Sun, Seward commented, "I'm sure [Meghan] will receive a card or a message, but I can't see that they [the Waleses] would be sending her a present." Meghan and Kate have remained distant since Meghan and Prince Harry's departure from the UK, coupled with their controversial remarks about the royal family.
Despite these tensions, Prince Harry and Meghan extended warm wishes to Catherine following her announcement of a cancer diagnosis in March. As reported by People Magazine, they stated, "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."
The last time key royal figures, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Kate Middleton, and Prince William, sent birthday wishes to Meghan was in August 2022, before Queen Elizabeth's passing.
