King Charles and Prince William Strategise Ahead of Sussex Tour

Royals Plan Future Amidst Harry and Meghan's Colombia Visit

King Charles and Prince William are set to strategise during a summit at Balmoral as they plan the monarchy's future. The royal family gathers annually at the Scottish palace for their summer break, which doubles as an opportunity to discuss the monarchy's direction, according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond.

Bond told OK! Magazine that while she had no specific information about this year's summit, it would be "slightly odd" if the royals didn't take the chance to strategise while together. She explained that in the 1990s, these summits, known as The Way Ahead Group, had a more formal setup where senior royals discussed strategies to ensure the monarchy remained relevant in the modern age.

This planning comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare for their upcoming trip to Colombia. Invited by the country's Vice President Francia Márquez, who also serves as equality minister, the Sussexes will attend a conference addressing online bullying and exploitation. This cause aligns with the couple's foundation and lifelong philanthropic efforts.

Many royal experts have dubbed this trip a ‘faux-royal tour’ following Harry and Meghan's previous visit to Nigeria earlier this year. The couple's commitment to combating online issues is a continuation of their focus on global and social issues.
