Balmoral Summit to Address Sussexes’ Future Amidst Strained Relations
King Charles and Prince William are reportedly close to determining the future of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle within the royal family.
Despite ongoing efforts at reconciliation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are soon embarking on a tour in Colombia, continue to face strained ties with the royals. A well-placed Palace insider revealed that discussions regarding Harry and Meghan’s titles and patronages will be a key focus during the upcoming Balmoral summit.
“The Royal Family is meeting at Balmoral to discuss several issues, and one of them will be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” the source told Express.co.uk.
The insider noted that the Balmoral gathering is more than just a summer retreat: “The family also participates in pre-arranged meetings where they review the family's current position and strategize for the future.”
Last year, King Charles focused on “honouring the Queen” during his first time hosting the gathering at the Scottish Palace. However, this year, the monarch is prepared to make significant decisions about the future direction of the royal family, potentially without the Sussexes.
