Lady Louise Takes Bold Step Ahead of Catherine and Princess Anne with Ambitious Military Plans

Lady Louise Windsor is stepping forward with new plans to support the royal family, taking a significant step to honour the legacy of her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

As the only daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, Lady Louise, currently in her second year at St. Andrews University, has been dedicated to her studies, making infrequent public appearances while her parents handle increasing royal duties.

Now 20, she is setting her sights on a groundbreaking role within the family, with ambitions to become the first woman since the late Queen to serve in the military, according to a close friend.

"She’s expressed a strong interest in a military career, serving both the King and country," the friend shared with The Sun. Louise is also deeply involved with St. Andrews' University Officers’ Training Corps, where she has developed a passion for the Army Cadets.

Queen Elizabeth II made history by becoming the first female member of the Royal Family to join the Armed Services as a full-time active member, serving as a Junior Commander in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War Two.

In contrast, both Catherine and Princess Anne have received honorary military titles but have not served in the armed forces.

As 16th in line to the throne, Lady Louise has indicated on her LinkedIn page that she is interested in pursuing a career in the military, diplomacy, or law.

With the royal family contemplating the future of the monarchy, Lady Louise is poised to play a crucial role in the years ahead, according to royal expert Richard Eden.
