Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Warned Over High-Stakes Move Amid New Title Speculation

Royal Commentator Criticises Sussexes’ Colombia Trip as Risky and Naive

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been cautioned about taking a significant risk in their pursuit of a new title as they embark on their next major move. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who distanced themselves from the UK and the royal family to start a new chapter with their children, have been labelled "innocents abroad" by royal commentator Michael Cole.

Cole, speaking on GB News with Darren Grimes, subtly mocked the couple’s upcoming adventure and urged them to reconsider, warning that they could be endangering themselves in their quest for recognition. His comments come as the Sussexes prepare for a visit to Colombia, a nation currently beset by political controversy.

Expressing his concerns, Cole advised that Harry and Meghan should be cautious about how they leverage their celebrity status, suggesting that they must not "sell it too cheaply." He pointed out that Colombia’s current government is embroiled in scandal, making it a potentially perilous destination for the high-profile couple.

Drawing a comparison to a regrettable state visit hosted by the late Queen, Cole highlighted the importance of careful consideration and planning. He referenced Queen Elizabeth II’s 1978 visit with Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu, which she later regretted, cautioning that Harry and Meghan’s goodwill could be undermined by a similar lack of foresight.

The Duke and Duchess are set to visit Colombia on Thursday, with planned stops in Bogota, Cartagena, and Cali, despite the country’s ongoing struggles with crime and instability.
