Duchess of Sussex Caught Off Guard by Reference to Past Oprah Interview
Meghan Markle was visibly upset during a recent interview when she and Prince Harry appeared on CBS to promote their new project, The Parent Channel. The Duchess of Sussex lost her composure after being confronted with an unexpected question about her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
During the interview, a clip was shown in which Meghan discussed her struggles with suicidal thoughts, attributing them to pressure from the British press and a perceived lack of support from the royal family.
According to royal biographer Angela Levin, speaking on Dan Wooton's podcast, Meghan was "screaming" at the producers after the show, expressing her anger over the unscripted question.
Levin explained that Meghan was "very annoyed" because she had not been informed that the moment from the Oprah interview would be brought up. She suggested that Meghan "very much wants to be in control" and was frustrated with Harry for speaking during the segment.
Levin described Meghan's reaction as "angry and furious," noting her harsh expression as she looked at Harry, indicating her displeasure with the situation.
