Royal Author Raises Concerns About Meghan and Harry's Business Ventures
As Meghan Markle celebrates her 43rd birthday today, she finds herself at a career crossroads. It was recently announced that she and Prince Harry will embark on a royal-style four-day tour of Colombia this summer. Additionally, Meghan is set to appear on US television later today with her husband to discuss their latest project promoting online safety for children.
Meanwhile, there has been little news about her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, since its website and Instagram account launched in March. The only recent activity has been social media posts from some of Meghan's friends showcasing the branded jam they received several months ago.
According to royal author Tom Quinn, this may indicate that the couple's life plan has run into "serious trouble." He told the Mirror: "Harry has never had any real idea about becoming an entrepreneur or a businessman in his own right. He is trained from birth to do one thing only – to be a royal and he has thrown that away. His one hundred per cent support for his wife and her business ventures has never wavered, but it hasn’t been enough to make a success of her company. Meghan is proof that self-belief won’t always guarantee success. It won't always make you a great entrepreneur and businesswoman."
While Meghan's birthday plans remain undisclosed, she and Harry will appear on US TV today. They have prerecorded an interview for CBS Sunday Morning, discussing a new initiative to support parents of children affected by online harm, which will air later today.
Regarding their upcoming trip to Colombia, Harry and Meghan are expected to visit Bogotá and other regions, hoping for a reception similar to their well-received state visit to Nigeria. They have been invited by Vice President Francia Márquez, who also serves as Equality Minister, reflecting their growing ties with Colombia. The country holds significance as the sole Latin American participant in the Invictus Games, an event founded by Harry.
