Meghan Markle has encountered yet another challenge amid her escalating feud with her father, Thomas Markle.
According to Express.co.uk, TV personality Lady Colin Campbell initiated a GoFundMe page to support Thomas Markle on the eve of his 80th birthday on July 18. The campaign, portraying Meghan's father as "rejected and abandoned," has reportedly raised over £54,000.
Discussing this ongoing hate campaign against the former Suits actress, royal commentator Jennie Bond told OK! magazine that it was a "ridiculous" move to create a fund for Thomas Markle. While Bond critiqued Meghan for being a "cruel" daughter, she also emphasized that the campaign seemed designed to cast the former royal in a negative light.
"I'm sorry that his daughter doesn't want him in her life, and I think it's quite cruel of Meghan," Bond stated. "However, he has another daughter and a son who surely can perfectly well look after their father."
Bond further added, "There are an awful lot of people in the world who need money far more than Mr. Markle. So I think it's really a mischief-making exercise to make Meghan look bad."
It’s worth noting that Thomas Markle has previously expressed his desire to reconcile with his daughter and meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
