Duchess Faces Warning as She Launches Project
Meghan Markle has been cautioned about the risks of "reopening old wounds" by revisiting her challenging experiences as a British Princess. This warning comes after her headline-making appearance on CBS News with Prince Harry, where they launched their new project, The Parents' Network (TPN), aimed at tackling cyberbullying and its impact on the mental health of children and parents.
During the interview, Meghan reflected on her past struggles, including suicidal thoughts, as a clip from her previous interview with Oprah Winfrey was shown. PR expert Renae Smith told Express.co.uk that Meghan's decision to revisit segments of the Oprah interview is a "risky move."
Smith explained, "While it can reignite interest and bring attention to their new project, it absolutely risks reopening old wounds and rekindling controversy." She added that the original interview was polarising, and revisiting it might detract from their current initiative by shifting the focus back to their criticisms of the Royal Family.
