Duke of Sussex Faces Pushback from Meghan Over Upcoming UK Trip
Meghan Markle is reportedly displeased with Prince Harry’s plans for an upcoming trip to the UK. As the Duke of Sussex approaches his 40th birthday, he had been eager to celebrate by returning to the UK and spending time with friends. However, sources reveal that Meghan quickly dismissed the idea due to security concerns and the potential impact on their public image.
An insider told Closer Magazine that King Charles’s youngest son was looking forward to the trip, but Meghan vetoed the plan, calling it a “bad look for their brand.” Meghan is currently focused on launching her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which will include a cooking show on Netflix.
The former Suits actress is already dealing with setbacks related to trademark and patent registrations for her new brand and is concerned that Harry’s travel plans could harm their PR efforts. The insider explained, “They’re aiming to align with the crème of society, including Hollywood and political elites, so the idea of Harry partying with friends in Mykonos or elsewhere is just the worst possible idea.”
Adding to Meghan’s apprehensions is Harry’s ongoing legal dispute with the UK’s Home Office over security arrangements, which has further fueled her fears about his potential return to the UK.
